Capitol Hill Elementary School is located in SW Portland and serves students K-5 from neighborhoods such as John's Landing and Multnomah Village. The school just celebrated its Centennial this past year! It boast high student achievement, with a very supportive and involved PTA. Capitol Hill is a neighborhood school that families and students love!
The Capitol Hill Holiday Market was launched three years ago by fellow Capitol Hill parent, and artist, Cathy McMurray. Cathy teamed up with a few teachers and parents and held the first Capitol Hill Holiday Market in 2011. Fast forward three years later, and now the CHHM is becoming a more popular holiday market within the SW Portland community and families at Capitol Hill. The holiday market is a hand-selected juried panel of high quality artisans. With limited space to only about 30 vendors, we try to invite and select the best artisans to be a part of our wonderful event.
Since it is a PTA fundraiser, the vendors are asked to donate 25% of sales and a booth fee, which goes directly back to the students for the arts!
